(June 2)[Notes:SOT: It's been like a nightmare----pause--- yeah--but today's the better part ..yes...] A sentiment being repeated–by the parents of more than 400 children taken from a polygamist sect’s ranch in West Texas. [Notes:SOT: oh I'm gonna hug him and kiss him and take lots of pictures.]Monday —-the sect children began returning to the arms of their tearful parents —–hours after a judge bowed to a state Supreme Court ruling that the seizure was not justified. [Notes:MOS: are you hear to pick up your children sir?? Yes we are....] The young children are being released after two months in state custody— much of it spent in foster care centers like this one in San Antonio….. [Notes:MOS: how does it feel to be reunited with your kids.?? Wonderful!!]Monday’s order *does* come with a few requirements. FLDS parents must stay in Texas and attend parenting classes.Further –the state will be allowed to examine children for abuse……(SOT)((SUPER: Marleigh Meisner/ Child Protective Services Spokesperson)”it allows for the investigation to continue. We have concerns for the safety of the children. We’ve had concerns since april 3rd.”((Stand up))((SUPER:John Mone/The AP))” not every child may make it back here to the yearning for zion ranch that’s because..most of the parents have relocated to the same towns where their children were put into foster care(SOT)(SUPER:Willie Jessop/FLDS Elder)” all marriages in flds are consensual”Church elders are implementing a new policy —saying they will forbid any girl to marry who is not of legal consent age in the state where she lives. This sect group is crazy i mean what about the future of the kids?

Phelps? Fred Phelps, you mean? Nope. That’s an entirely different group. Fred Phelps’ group [Westoboro Baptist, in Kansas] is so tiny that nobody would have ever heard of them if they weren’t actively out attention-whoring.

so glad that they got their children back, so many mothers have lost their children to foster care only to see them again in a casket, its horrible, nobody can really care for the child like the mother, i pray for the minority children that are not being let go to loving minority homes who would give them excellent care, only because they are single, or just not “rich”

x1115, Is this the same sect whose leader is Phelps, the guy who forced the 14 yr girl into marriage? If so, i want to retract my previous statement.

x11115, i wish you get arrested by ‘chance/accident’ then tells us what you think. I as much as everyone else knows nothing of this sect but i feared they were demonised and criminalised well in advance by the media and supporters like u the day they were arrested.

how did they get their children back after 2 months? Didnt they have to do therapy never ending CASE PLANS? Why dont they do things the same way in San Luis Obispo CA? Does CPS have guidelines to follow?

The FACT is that sometimes unscrupulous government agents DO ACT without ANY EVIDENCE.
This is a prime example, since the court found that there was no evidence to back up the government case.
I can find thousands of examples of the government acting without evidence.
Also, about the hate thing, Americans have a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to hate anyone or anything. Americans also have the CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to raise their children to hate anyone or anything.

These people will be cared for by the American Gov’t for the rest of their lives! Public aide (WELFARE) and other government subsidies will be thrown at their feet! Please believe that these whites will be living LARGE((CHUCKLE))

When I first heard about this case, I knew that the American Judicial System WAS NOT going to separate this group and if they did the victims would be returned!
These type of sects are the only true hope for the survival and expansion of a pure and untainted white race.

“And then the parents are presumed guilty and treated as a convicted criminal prior to any trial or hearing.”
They are treated like a criminal? Come on your jumping to conclusions. How are they automatically treated like criminals. If your accused of something your not automatically arrested.. There’s a process. They may arrest you but that’s at their discretion.

That may be but the government isn’t going to act unless there is some type of evidence like signs of neglect. I’m not going to act afraid of my government because i personally don’t have anything to hide but a criminal is. So why be paranoid their going to take you away???

How come they don’t take kids away from families that allow their kids to be in gangs like the crips, bloods, or kkk?

(p2) There is a 16 yr old that didn’t go back to the ranch, because CPS believes she was sexual abused.

(p1)I understand what Frosty and Qwerty said. I am glade the kids are back with the parents and I am glade the courts made the restrictions (because there still an investigation going on), but now I am reading online Canada, British Columbia’s top lawyer appointed a special prosecutor to look into allegations of sexual misconduct within a polygamous community there.

My mother is a teacher, I’m full aware that there are requierments for her to report any claims of abuse. What I am trying to point out that there may be false claims made. My mother was witness to this once eairly in her career. Then there was the imfamous Mc Martin case in CA. We (The whole state) got dragged through the smelly stuff in that one. Again, an over zellous procisuter screwed the whole case and wether or not abuse occured is a mute point now.

In the U.S., persons making an accusation of child abuse are not required to provide any evidence or any details as a witness. In fact, they can do it an anonymously!! And then the parents are presumed guilty and treated as a convicted criminal prior to any trial or hearing. This violates their Constitutional right to Due Process of Law - specifically, their Fifth Amendment right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

OK, Folks! Keep this in mind! While you and I may find the practices of the FLDS reprehensible, remember this, you and your family may be next. All it takes is someone with a grudge against you and you will find yourself having to prove your innocence even though we are innocent until proven guilty. What the HELL has this country come to?
