I live near the BC FLDS sect.
Although they’re keeping a low profile now, as a mother myself, I’m still haunted by the sad faces of the little girls.
What kind of parent would knowingly indoctrinate their children into a CULT, knowing that they will never receive a standard education, never have the opportunity to go to college, fall in love, or make their own life decisions as conscious adults?
You cry now, I cry for your children too - after having actually seen them :.(

The men? They’re lost boys. The ones that don’t kiss Warren Jeffs ass are thrown out of their communities. While I have some feelings for these women who persistently talk about their “children,” many are the same that would allow their “female children” to be married off at 14, and their “male children” cast off like refuse. Brainwashed or not, it is natural to do anything one can to protect their young. Even animals do that.

I don’t have an issue with polygamy per se, but we can’t sit by and let 13 year old girls be forced into marriage.

And marrying off 13 and 14 yr. olds to middle aged men is healthy? having 10 wives with each bearing 15 kids is healthy? not educating your kids is healthy? keeping fear instilled in ppl by telling them they cannot do or say anything unapproved or they are doomed is healthy? raping preteens and teens is healthy? throwing out boys as young as 13 or 14 out on the street with only clothes on their backs is healthy? there is no need for an expert…we should all be experts in human decency!!!

Yes but they get brainwashed and abused anyway so they had every right to take those poor children away in the long run they will be happier! They get raped and alsorts. They have to get married at any age it’s just ridiculous, and if the mothers really loved thier childern they would have the sense to get them out of there she there children don’t have to endure what they have!

They speak softly and “calm”. It’s all a part of “keeping sweet” and not getting beat or whipped, or worst yet, as Carolyn Jessop said, having your children punished for something you did. Must be nice to have such complete control over women; don’t even let them have human emotions; rather have them all act like zombies or some deranged Stepford wives.

I agree, SCCB1977. Why don’t they cry when their barely pubescent daughter is having her insides ripped open by a middle-aged or old pervert next door or a few door down, consumating their “spiritual marriage”? Why don’t they cry when their teen-age sons are literally kicked to the curb with nothing besides the clothes on their back, no skills, no education, no money, no knowledge of the outside world? They can all rot in h*ll; I have ZERO sympathy for liars and hypocrites like these women.
