We must be vigilant when we hear false prophets use old testament to justify immorality (polygamy)…our spiritual ancestors also practiced incest and even murder to “survive”…does that make any of those things (polygamy,incest) OK now or in the 1800’s?…of course not!..thisis why we need to be in a true believing christian church to have a CORRECT understanding…false prophets can use old testament narrative to justify ANYTHING, including polygamy, incest, racism against blacks)…

..In all due respect we also have a NEW testament with a CHURCh Christ founded to whom he gave the KEYS to discern biblical truths therein and HOw to interpret old testament narrative CORRECTLY ..and this has the been the discernment of the true-believing chridstian churches for over 2000 years now: ONE MAN: ONE WIFE…hence “plural marriage” (polygamy) is multiple adulteries (immorality)..the distorting of old tesytament narrative does not make it acceptable NOw or in the 1800’s…

Warren Jeffs, however, made it a mandate for a man to go to heaven. The original mormons didn’t do that. Women joined their fledgling faith at a rate of 10 to 1 in a time when they had no rights, no money, and were not even allowed to own property. It made sense at the time, because these women would have starved to death. But at no time were children married to middle aged men. Let’s get the historical facts straight

In all due respect, old testament prophets engaged in polygamy. Let’s be honest. However, with all the charges that have been leveled against Joseph Smith, NOT ONE including fucking children. I’ve studied mormonism as well as many other creeds, and I see nothing in it that promotes pedophilia. Instead they have a few unorthodox teachings which include a mother goddess. The mormon pioneers who fled persecution, only a few were polygamists. Very few practiced it.
